The Hoggatt Injury Law Children of Injured Workers Scholarship provides $1,000 to support the education of a student whose parent has been affected by a work-related injury. Applications are open to undergraduate and graduate students throughout the U.S. We aim to help students who have a financial need, and we ask applicants to submit an essay discussing how the scholarship will help them achieve their academic and career goals.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants have at least one parent who has been injured or killed in a work-related accident. They must be U.S. citizens and at least 18 years old. They must be enrolled at an accredited U.S. college or university for Fall 2023, and have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5.

One student will receive an award of $1000 to use toward educational expenses
Application
Write and submit an essay of 500-1,000 words about your academic and career goals using the form on our scholarship page. You will also need to submit documentation of your parent’s injury, a FAFSA report showing a need for financial assistance, an academic transcript, contact information, and a professional headshot.
