Eligibility Criteria for Knight-Hennessy Scholars Awards 2023/2024

In order to be considered for the scholarship opportunity at Stanford University, applicants must initially meet the admission requirements of the university. You must fulfill at least one of the following four conditions:

Applying separately yet concurrently to both the KHS program and a full-time Stanford graduate degree program, with the intention of commencing both programs in the same year.

Having received an offer of admission to a full-time Stanford graduate degree program and deferring it, while also applying to the KHS program with the intention of starting both programs in the same year.

Currently being a Stanford graduate student and applying to add a second full-time Stanford graduate degree program, with the plan to start both the KHS program and the new degree program in the same year.

Being a current Stanford PhD student in the first year of enrollment and applying to the KHS program with the intention of commencing the KHS program in the second year of PhD enrollment.
